done Description

Guided tour of the Fortress of Catholic Monarchs (the inside: majestic rooms and beautiful gardens, if closed another point of interest will be visited). We will walk in the Jewish Quarter and stop at the Monument to Lovers, Maimonides Statue, Synagogue (whenever possible as it can be very crowded at certain times).
We will stay in the Jewish Quarter to also see "The Souk" where you can watch artesans practising their craft: making ceramics, leather goods, jewellery, glassware and other fascinating ornaments. From there, we will walk to Cardinal Salazar Square, where we will see the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature (a former acute care hospital), Monument to Al Gafequi, and former Convent of San Pedro de Alcántara.
Finally we will go to the most important monument of all, the Mosque-Cathedral. Here, an introduction will be given in the Patio de los Naranjos, the Patio of the Orange Trees, followed by a visit to this magnificent building inside.

This guided tour is free for children under 10 years old (as long as they come with an adult).

They do not need ticket for the mentioned monuments.

If they want to listen to our guide inside the Mosque-Cathedral, the use of the audio receiver is not included for them since they have not paid anything for the tour.

It is not mandatory for them but if they want one, their parents can rent us the audio-receiver so the child can also listen to our guide.

That can be decided at the beginning of the visit. You only have to communicated it to the person in charge of receiving you or to our guide. This service will have to be paid directly in cash to our staff. But remember that it is not mandatory and we also advise against its use for small children or babies since it is not a toy.

We recommend you this walking tour as it is the most complete. You will visit the most important monuments of Cordoba in one morning.

It is done walking so it is healthy.

During this tour the distances are short, everything you are going to visit is close.

But wear comfortable shoes, it is recommended not to release footwear.
Making this group visit is cheaper than paying for a private tour. This tour includes the local qualified guide service and the entrances to the monuments.
We advise you to bring sun protection and sunglasses in summer and a small bottle of water. Although we will stop at mid-morning so you can have a drink or go to the toilet.

More Tips
Bring a camera or video camera but with charged batteries.
Light clothes in summer, tank tops are allowed but up to the waist (no tops or bikinis inside the Cathedral). In autumn, winter or spring: waterproof folded in the bag. In Cordoba it does not usually rain many days but it can happen and it is better be prepared. Good shelter in winter because in Cordoba in the early hours of winter it is quite cold.
Do not bring large backpacks or suitcases, luggage must stay at the hotel, on the bus. Come to the visit with a light bag so that you do not have to carry weight. And because in the monuments it is forbidden to enter with large suitcases and backpacks.
On the other hand do not leave home curiosity, respect, attention, recognition and patience.
Pay attention to the person who will be your guide and above all come with desire to enjoy the visit.
Pets are not accepted except guide dogs.
The Synagogue is very small, sometimes we can't go inside because of social distance due to Covid-19.
We usually finish inside the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, the most important monument. Once our guide finish the explanation and once the audio receivers are returned back, if possible and if you have time you can stay longer inside until they close the monument.
